Welcome to Twenty Fifth Avenue Thrift Shop!
Aventa’s new social enterprise, Twenty Fifth Avenue Thrift Shop, is open to the public, Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, located upstairs at 610 – 25 Avenue SW (grey building on the corner of 25 Ave and 5 Street SW) and offers gently used women’s clothing, accessories, shoes, boots, jewelry and purses. We are pleased to accept these donations during regular business hours.
A portion of the proceeds from the thrift store will go towards funding the expansion of Alumnae and Client social events, which helps to forge healthy connections and build recovery capital. Alumnae are also given an opportunity to gain work experience by volunteering in the store, which they can add to their resume.
High water consumption and chemical pollution greatly impact the environment through the manufacturing and processing of clothing. Thrifting is a sustainable and ethical way of shopping, by reducing the amount of waste going into landfills, and a great way to update your closet without breaking the bank.
By supporting Aventa’s Twenty Fifth Avenue Thrift Shop, you can help to make a difference in our community by giving garments that would otherwise end up in the trash, a new life. Keeping well-loved clothing from going to waste helps to save money and the environment.
