Journey into Recovery – via Zoom

For Calgary women who are pregnant and/or parenting and involved in the Journeys Program. Pregnant and/or parenting Calgary and Area Clients waiting for treatment at Aventa and those who are not currently residing within Aventa’s programs are encouraged connect for Zoom sessions Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m. This includes Clients who are in the application/assessment phase, those who have discharged early from Aventa’s programs, or those post-graduation Clients who are struggling and require additional support.

Continuing Care Meetings – via Zoom

Aventa’s Continuing Care Program is a weekly counsellor-led support group focused on issues affecting the well-being of women and maintenance of their recovery. Aventa Alumnae can attend these meetings. To register and for more information, please email continuingcare@aventa.org.

NA Meetings – Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. (closed meeting for Aventa Clients) or Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom

Narcotics Anonymous offers on-site meetings for Aventa clients who need support in their recovery from drug addiction. A guest speaker is featured at each meeting.

CA Meetings – Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.(closed meeting for Aventa Clients)

Cocaine Anonymous offers on-site meetings for Aventa clients who need support in their recovery from drug addiction. A guest speaker is featured at each meeting.

CMA Meetings – Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. (closed meeting for Aventa Clients) or Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom

Crystal Meth Anonymous offers on-site meetings for Aventa clients who need support in their recovery from drug addiction. A guest speaker is featured at each meeting.

Smart Recovery Meetings – Mondays at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom

SMART Recovery Online (SROL) is a warm and caring online community designed to help one another recovery from addictive behaviors. Groups are volunteer led and include a volunteer advisor who is a mental health professional.

AA Meetings – Mondays at 5:30 p.m., Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom

Alcoholics Anonymous offers weekly, drop-in meetings for clients or any women in the community who wish to stop drinking or need support in recovery. A guest speaker is featured once each month.

Recovery Dharma Meetings – Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. or Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom

Recovery Dharma is a peer-led movement and community that is unified by their trust in the potential of each person to recover and find freedom from the suffering of addiction. Meetings are based on the book Recovery Dharma.

Sex Addicts Anonymous – Fridays at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom

Sex Addicts Anonymous is a fellowship of individuals who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other so they may overcome their sexual addiction and help others recover from sexual addiction or dependency.

Chronic Pain Anonymous – Fridays at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom

Chronic Pain Anonymous is a fellowship for those with chronic pain and chronic illness. Participants will meet others who share the common bond of living with chronic pain and chronic illness and shares experiences, strength and hope.

Co-Dependents Anonymous – Fridays at 9:00 p.m. via Zoom

Co-Dependents Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women whose common purpose is to develop healthy relationships. Meetings allow people to share their experience, strength, and hope in dealing with codependency issues.
